I'm amazed at how many hydrangea kept their violet color. Sure, the one on the bottom was shaded, and there's one in the back facing the house I didn't photograph that was similarly shaded.
But I'm amazed at the resilience at the hydrangea right on top. How did this one survive? I'm sure people will let me know how. For now, I'm content to keep watering the plants and looking on with wonder.
