I Miss Carol

In lieu of her having a live performance from Carol Weston, here are two poems from an old Boston/New York issue of Boog City.

Poem One: To the British Poet, George Barker, Born 1913 - 1. My Master walks ahead of me./I see into his soul./My master knocks my building down./I have no place to hide./All human speech inhabits him; All poetry & myth.// II. He is the monster/of my mind/He is the fire/of human kind/He is the voice/that smashes glass./He is the ass/that turns the world. --- Poem Two: To Gerrit - What is it about/this man of magic?/He flows with the tides,/keeps in touch with the moon,/knows the lives of the creatures,/the books of the alchemists,/rises at dawn.
