It turns out I was a fan of Isaac Hayes before all the "South Park" stans. I remember being a kid and attempting to sing this in front my family (and them laughing). For a while as a kid, this was my favorite jam to listen to while sitting in the back of the car. As I was going down memory lane with music today, I remembered this song and knew it was originally sung by Roy Hamilton but realized I didn't know who sang this version until I did some research. It's nice to connect the dots.
