Publications I'm Proud of in 2023: Molecule

The biggest highlights of my panel at this year's Massachusetts Poetry Festival were having a post-panel dinner with Toni Bee and Dexter Roberts, seeing Tim Gager run out selling books in the street after going on about how virtual readings do shit for book sales, and getting my print copy of Molecule #8 from the journal's table.

This was the first ever year Editors Kevin Carey and M.P. Carver ever put this out in print. Having published an online journal for a decade, I can tell you that print journals still feel special to me. I always feel honored when my work is selected to be printed on actual paper.

I have been publishing with Molecule since their first issue. It's amazing to feel that both my work and the journal editors have both been progressing over the years. It makes it more of an honor to be contributing to them this whole time. I don't care if I can read it online. Consider me a subscriber.

Molecules in My Hand

Molecule, the tiny literary journal than can and does over and over, came out with a print version of their latest issue. I missed grabbing it at the recent Massachusetts Poetry Festival, so I appreciate Kevin Carey taking the time to send these copies out. It's a beautiful package, which makes me all the more grateful that Kevin and M.P. Carver included my work in it. I hope this print version becomes easy to purchase on the journal's site soon.

Publications I'm Proud of in 2022: Molecule

To write a poem about a difficult part of your life as it's happening is a gift. To have it published in a timely fashion is a blessing. Molecule published "Composure" back in March. It helped provide closure to 2021, a year I've only alluded to here and there as to why it was so difficult. I written a lot of poems about that year. Most will have to be published years from now. I'm glad this one got out there first. Thanks again to Kevin Carey and M.P. Carver, two editors who have had my back for a long time.

The Sixth Issue of Molecule is Live

"Composure" is a poem I wrote during an awful time in the final days of 2021. That period of abusers is over, and I have a poem I'm proud to have gotten down on paper and into the latest issue of Molecule. It's an issue full of good work from poets (hi, Doug Holder!), fiction writers and artists. Click here to download it. Thanks once more to Editors Kevin Carey and M.P. Carver for their tireless work.
