Boston as forlorn lover
racing under weight
of own white noise
to meet a day
that could not care less
whether you arrive
on time to be ignored.
lucky it likes
your personality
as a quite worker.
Pretend at purpose,
wait to join
the other spurned
on the sidewalks
who got the message.
Remember manners
while it puts your tears
to use, sets you up
for pavement pratfalls
on the way out.
