Misanthrope Comforts Claustrophobic
If imaginary walls
are closing in,
you're likely lucky.
Most of them
always have a pole
or branch for bracing.
Even lazy people
find escape hatches
before they close.
The real walls
out in the open
come at you hard.
Sometimes they
will trip you up,
hit you in the face,
or they could crash
down to make you
part of their bad day.
They'll even fly
at you, brick by
brick, mob you down
If real walls close,
they might be hiding you
from whatever waits outside.
