I wrote a Valentine-ish poem last week, but for some reason Patricia Carragon's opening poem made me want to do an anti-valentine poem. Took inspiration for the title from my favorite Valentine's-themed horror movie (or is there only that one). Yes, I'm blaming Patricia It's all I got this week. Thanks for reading.

Bloody

Wear black for your

weekend long

Valentine's protest.

Enough silence

in one bedroom

to wake a baby.

Thank you, Tzynya Pinchback, for an amazing feature. I learned and/or relearned a lot about Tznya, her background, and her friends. I loved the work. I enjoyed the poet who would become next week's feature. I loved the how the color red flowed through multiple pieces. Did any of that come out in the poem below? I sure hope so. 

I was able to write and finish this before Friday morning. I owed it to myself to not rush for a change. I hope it shows a little. Can't wait to write more. Thanks for reading.

Godot makes them wait,

refuses to fill his boots,

would rather fill himself

sitting on the toilet, pants on.
