This is an old photo with Toni. Maybe we can recreate it in May.
Given the death of my great aunt and the several close calls of my other family members, I'm so glad I haven't lost any close friends. I am thinking a lot about my friends back in the rural parts of Rhode Island, but man, it's scary in the city, which is where Toni and I work and reside in.
I've been keeping in touch with Toni a lot. We even did a socially distanced cohosting of an even this year. Can't wait till we can meet up at a poetry event again, whether it's mine, hers, or someone else's.
