Stone's Throw #8 Cover Unveiled

Thanks to David House for providing the artwork for what will likely be the strangest issue of Stone's Throw I've ever published. I hope to get this out before Thanksgiving.

I wonder, given the recent Twixodus (I won't call it "Xodus" because I refuse to call Twitter X), are there any people who wish to be last minute contributors to the "Unalive the Algorithm" issue?

You might have more to say about the oligarchical internet given Musk's rise to undeserved power (again).

Write me at chadpoetforhire@yahoo.com while you still can.

This Just In

David House sent me his cover art for Stone's Throw #8. It won't be long before the issue is put together and sent out by the end of the month and not over half a decade later.

Too Dangerous for Facebook?

Below are four illustrations David House created for my Stone's Throw call for submissions (I ended up using the third one.

Word Art Wanted

Spoonful cover artist and MassArt student David House is teaming up with other students to put out a print journal over the summer. He is looking for "any kind of art made out of characters." This can be "short stories, poetry, typewriter drawings, word problems, word search, whatever!"

The email to submit is tojordan.buisness@gmail.com. There is no online presence yet, though that may change. I hope you're interested in contributing to the efforts of young artists.

Stone's Throw: Unalive the Algorithm! A Call for Submissions

Illustration © David House

The internet hasn't failed us. It just stopped working for us. At all.

The world wide web and its hydra-like assortment of apps started out as equal opportunity and a way for people to share like-minded interests.

Let's Get This Out

David House's cover for the "Aim for the Thoughts and Prayers" issue of Stone's Throw has been done for some time. Can I get a couple of more submissions so I can finally get this out? What's it gonna take for inspiration, people?

Send you work to chadpoetforhire@yahoo.com as soon as you can. Check out the back issues to help you understand the assignment better.

Out (somewhere) Now

David House has released the fourth and fifth volumes/issues of his Lion's Zen zine. I'm happy to be in Volume #4 with the first poem in an old abandoned (but maybe not anymore) series of poems.

Submit to This New Zine

Above is the cover to the third volume of Lion's Zen, a zine by MASSArt student named David House, who you've heard about if you've read my posts in recent weeks. Lion's Zen is a showcase for David's art as well as any writing he likes.

I worked with David as a consultant, but little did I know my first physical contribution for his latest issue would be more...visual.

This Just In (half a decade later)

Artist David House sent me the cover for the "Aim for the Thoughts and Prayers" issue of Stone's Throw. Guess I have no choice but to put it together five years after having the idea.

Coming as They Are

Welcome back poet Jeff Taylor and welcome for the first time artist David House as we mark the anniversary of Kurt Cobain's suicide. A very different Wednesday starts here at Oddball Magazine.
